I am both a designer and illustrator, having achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in visual communications as well as a Master of Fine Arts degree in fine arts. For the last three years(2015-Present), I have been working as a full-time graphic designer at the College of Education at Washington State University, creating printing design, web design, and branding for departments of the College of Education. I also curate and facilitate Visual Communication workshops for Education and Sports Management students. In addition to my work at WSU's College of Education, I have been involved with a variety of educational programs for children at local arts institutions. I designed and helped paint a mural for Jefferson elementary school here in Pullman. I am also in the process of creating and upgrading a branding/visual identity for Pullman's Neill Public Library(will be launched about May2018). Before arriving in Pullman, I worked as a full-time Graphic designer downtown Cincinnati, Ohio at AlvaEDU, an e-learning company. During three years working for AlvaEDU, I created a variety of design and illustration projects related to online education, working closely with a large team of content creators. Proficient in many programs including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Flash, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Dreamweaver, Autodesk softimageXSI, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, etc. Digital and new mediaapproaches to creating including video editing, sound design, stop-motion animation and traditional animation. Traditional design and art-making skills including drawing, painting, welding, wood-working etc.Knowledge of WordPress as a web content management system. Some experience with coding including html, flash, visual basic, and java.
